Oqton and Valk Welding announce partnership

Oqton, a provider of software for robotic welding, additive production, and 3D scanning, has partnered with Valk Welding, a manufacturer of flexible arc welding robots. Oqton’s software will become part of Valk Welding’s Automatic Robotic Programming system for high-mix, low-volume production.

Powered by the software, the programming system autonomously generates robotic welding programs directly from 3D CAD files. It uses artificial intelligence to learn from an operator’s best practices to refine processes for future parts. As a result, welders can easily use this software without previous knowledge of robots or 3D geometry. Welding Arm
