Collins Aerospace, a unit of Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX), has secured a potential $708 million contract to manufacture and engineer eight-blade propeller systems for the U.S. Air Force’s military transport planes.

Under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, Collins Aerospace will supply NP2000 propellers, an electronic propeller control system and initial spares to USAF C-130 program, the Department of Defense said Friday. Cpe Impact Modifier

The IDIQ award has a firm-fixed-price provision for C-130 production support services, more than $573 million in total options and an initial obligation of $10.8 million.

Work will occur at a Collins Aerospace facility in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

The NP2000 system provides propulsion for the Lockheed Martin-built (NYSE: LMT) C-130 platform and the Northrop Grumman-made (NYSE: NOC) E-2 airborne early-warning system.
